Modern lens: the best of Australian contemporary photography – in pictures

Now in its 20th year, the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert photography award showcases the best contemporary photography in Australia. The work of the 40 finalists are on display at Queensland’s HOTA gallery on the Gold Coast, with the winner announced on 11 October.
